Follow me on my journey from Salzburg, Austria to somewhere in the Far East.

I took a year off to travel solo in a Mercedes Sprinter, which I converted the last several months to an off-grid camper van.
It is fully equipped now with water, gas, heating, solar system, full kitchen, shower and a bed.

My route will start in Salzburg, over the Alps to Italy. From the port of Venezia I will ship to Patras (Greece) and onwards to the Dodecanese and Aegean Island.
From either Rhodes or Chios I will take another ferry to the mainland of Turkey.

Further along the Turkish Mediterranean coast to Antalya and up to the Black Sea and cross the border to Georgia, Azerbaijan and Iran.

From Iran, there will be the choice to take the northern route following the old Silkroad through the “Stans” – up to Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

If the political situation is safe and stable I will take the south route and follow the Hippie Trail through Pakistan and drive the Karakorum Highway to the Chinese border, drive back to Lahore and cross the border to one of my main destinations: India.
